Dr. Jeff Kautz
Senior Pastor
Pastor Jeff joined NLBFC in January 2012 after having served for almost 18 months with a mission organization sharing the Gospel across Africa. He has previously served in several other churches in North Carolina since surrendering to the ministry in 2001.
Pastor Jeff has a passion for see people come to know Christ as their personal Savior and then to grow in their relationship with the Lord. He has preached in churches in Virginia, North Carolina, Tennessee, and Georgia plus to thousands in the countries of Ghana, Togo, Benin, and Uganda.
Pastor Jeff gave his heart to Christ in 1995 after graduating from college. He graduated from Lenoir-Rhyne College in Hickory, NC in 1995 with a degree in education and taught school for several years, where he met his wife Jodi. They have been married since 1996 and have three children: Caleb, Emma, and Grace.
Pastor Jeff also holds a Master of Divinity in Christian Ethics from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary, and a Doctorate in Theology and Biblical Exposition from Andersonville Theological Seminary. He has served on the Leadership Team with the Catawba Valley Baptist Association. He also serves as the Professor of Ethics at Mitchell Community College as an Adjunct.
